Publication Rules
REQUIREMENTS FOR ARTICLES
Submitted work should be original, has not been published elsewhere and corresponding to subject-matter of the Journal of Russian Law. Materials, submitted concurrently to two or more publications, are not reviewed, and relations with author are terminated.
The size of the article (excluding the references and metadata) — 30—35 thousand characters, including spaces and footnotes . Pages should be numbered. Typeface is Times New Roman. Line spacing is 1,5. Font size for main text is 14, for footnotes — 11. Footnotes should be numbered page-by page, numbering is consecutive.
Abbreviations and reductions should be expanded at their first usage in text, and legal instruments should contain the date of adoption, number and full official name. Source of publication of legal acts should not be specified. Specification of source of citation, factual and numeric data is mandatory.
Drawings (schemes, diagrams) are allowed / they can be made in any graphics editor in black and white with a caption under the figure, including the serial number of the figure and its name. Photos, screenshots and other non-drawn illustrations will not be accepted for printing.
A foreign author can submit an article in English, French, German or Chinese (if the article is prepared in Russian, see the Russian version of the requirements for its formatting), which has the following structure:
1. Information in English
- article type (drawn up by the editors)
- Index of the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) (drawn up by the editors)
- Digital Object Identifier (DOI) (drawn up by the editors)
- article title
- full name of the author
- affiliation: organization (the main employer of the author or the organization where the research is carried out within the framework of the project) and the location of this organization (city, country)
- e-mail of the author
- Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) (if applicable)

abstract
— structured abstract of 200 to 250 words, consisting of four
paragraphs:
- setting of the problem
- the goals and objectives of the study
- methods
- results, summary and conclusions - keywords
- acknowledgments (information about the sources of funding for scientific research, as well as an expression of gratitude to people who contributed to the publication of the article in the journal, but are not its co-authors, reviewers or editors)
- bibliographic record for an article for citation (drawn up by the editors)
2. The text of the article that contains the following mandatory elements:
- setting of the problem (question to which an answer is given in the article)
- review of scientific literature with an introduction to the problem
- research part
- system of evidence and scientific reasoning
- the results of the study
- scientific apparatus and bibliography
3. References (drawn up by the editors)
4. Information about the author (full name of the author, position and place of work, academic degree and title, ResearcherID)
The file is to be attached in docx format when submitting an application for publication.
Articles
corresponding to the
requirements for them in terms of subject matter and design are
checked for plagiarism, registered and subject to review.
ORDER OF PUBLICATIONS OF ARTICLES
The Editorial Council composes the next issue of the Journal of Russian Law consist of the articles with the positive reviews.
The Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Russian Law approves the blueprint of the issue.
If the article is rejected, the author will receive a reasoned rejection of publishing.
An article approved for publication is subject to editing and proofreading. If it is necessary to update the manuscript, agree on semantic editing, prepare a translation of the reference list, the author should respond to the editors within the agreed time.
After the Editorial Council approves the publication of the article, the publisher of the Journal of Russian Law and the author conclude an agreement on the alienation of the exclusive right to the published article.
