Abstract

This article is devoted to the creative path of the Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Honored Lawyer of the RSFSR, Doctor of Law, Professor Konstantin Gutsenko. The research activity and life path of K. F. Gutsenko is of particular interest precisely on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation, since it is connected with him that the continuous and consistent work experience of a scientist from a graduate student to the director of the most authoritative scientific institution of the country. The article analyzes the scientific achievements of K. F. Gutsenko, which are associated with solving a wide range of legal and humanitarian problems related to criminal justice. Special attention is paid to his fundamental works, which made a significant contribution to the formation and development of the scientific school of comparative criminal law and process. Many of the ideas of the scientist-researcher have successfully withstood the test of time, have been reflected in the works of his students and colleagues.
