Abstract

After the October Revolution of 1917, theoretical reflections on the objects of law received a new development due to Marxist-Leninist philosophy. Recognized as the only true ideology at that historical stage, it served as a starting point in any research, including legal orientation. In the search for the essence of the objects of civil rights, civil scientists of the Soviet period face the same problems that are posed in the general theory of law. Moreover, Soviet civil law considers the issue of the object of law in the context of the development of problems of the general part of civil law and, above all, in the context of the analysis of legal relations.

The conducted research allowed us to conclude that in the Soviet period scientists failed to develop a common understanding of the legal category “object of law”. In total, we can talk about three main approaches in understanding the legal category under consideration, as well as about those phenomena that should be attributed to legal objects.
