Abstract

On April 5, 2023, the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation jointly with the Skolkovo Foundation held the XVIII International School of Young Legal Scientists on the topic “Youth and Law”. The review highlights the welcoming words and answers to the questions of the participants of the plenary session — leading representatives of Russian legal science, heads of state corporations and public authorities: T. Y. Khabrieva, I. I. Shuvalov, I. A. Drozdov, T. M. Kuzmina, R. M. Yankovsky, A. A. Shcheltsin, P. A. Kucherenko, A. A. Sapetko, V. E. Frolova, P. M. Volkova, Y. S. Lyubimova, V. V. Klyueva. The content of the headings “Law and success in persons” and “Legends of domestic legal science” is presented, as well as the main ideas expressed by the speakers and participants of the discussions within the framework of the following thematic round tables: “Public finance in the focus of scientific research of young scientists”; “Environmental protection: new challenges of legal regulation through the eyes of youth”; “Generation of innovative ideas by young scientists of the Institute (VIYUN — VNIISZ — ILCL)””; “Crime prevention as a direction of youth policy”; “Problems of social legislation in the works of scientists from ISP”; “Public authorities and youth: forms of support and communication" ; “Taking into account national interests and legal policy towards youth (within the framework of the RNF project No. 23-28-01457 “Vectors of development of lawmaking in order to realize the national interests of Russia: problems and prospects”)”; “Youth work: legal aspects”; “Transparency of public administration”; “Comparative Jurisprudence facing the Challenges of the Digital Age”; “Federal Law “On Youth Policy in the Russian Federation””. The School also hosted events dedicated to the scientific interactivity of young legal scientists, consisting of two blocks — a master class “Virtual Worlds and law” and an intellectual game “Public Administration in the scientific and educational sphere: new methods and forms”. The review also reflects the results of the III ILCL Tournament on the intellectual game “What? Where? When? ”, held on April 8, 2023.
